If there's one thing 2020 has taught me, it's how thankful I am to be able to do what I love from home. While many people are going stir crazy stuck inside, I've been using it as an opportunity to get some reading or writing in whenever I can. Thanksgiving is around the corner here in the United States, and in the spirit of being thankful, I wanted to drop by and share with you my Top 5 romance books/series if you need something to pull you in from page one. These are the stories that got me through some tough times or gave me a place to go when I needed to drown out the outside world. Enjoy! 1.) Thoughtless series by S.C. Stephens - If you know me, you know I have an undying love for Kellan Kyle. He's the epitome of book boyfriends. It's one of my favorite books to go back and re-read. Rival by Penelope Douglas - Although I really should suggest the entire Bully series by Penelope Douglas, I felt it was especially important to give the star of the show to my favorite of the series, Rival. There's something about Madoc Caruthers and the relationship between him and his stepsister, Fallon, that had me hooked on the stepbrother romance trope ever since. Download ➟ https://amzn.to/35QfQGA 3.) A Love Letter to Whiskey by Kandi Steiner - I'm not sure I can necessarily say this story got me through a tough time, but damn it if it didn't help me shut out the world around me. I'm not kidding when I say this book had me hooked from the moment I read the blurb. It was one of the angstiest books I've ever read, and I'm lucky I didn't break my Kindle in the process. Download ➟ https://amzn.to/3fpnsDk 4.) Bait by M. Mabie - This one is right up there with A Love Letter to Whiskey. Honestly, you're probably going to question me and my morals because it's clear I have a thing for reading stories about characters falling for the forbidden. The ones who are off-limits because they belong to someone else. Yeah, you read that one right. Bait is one of those stories that will have you cursing the author's name, which is fine because the author fully expects it. She's brutal and loves how she's baited her readers in, making them go out of their minds while reading this series. It's so good and so worth the torture she inflicts on you! Download ➟ https://amzn.to/3nHLs7x 5.) Driven by K. Bromberg - I still remember the first time I read this series. I called my sister and talked her ear off for a solid fifteen minutes, flipping out over how much I loved this book. Racing holds a special place in my heart. My dad raced when I was growing up, so I think I connected with this story uniquely. It pulled me in, and I didn't want to come up for air until I finished binge-reading the entire series. Download ➟ https://amzn.to/3lXUDAc I miss going to author signings and meeting my favorite authors. In the spirit of reminiscing on my favorite stories, I thought I'd share some of my favorite memories when I've had a chance to meet the authors too.
I hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving! Eat lots of food and enjoy your time with family, and if you need to get some time away, pick up one of the books above. :) I'm incredibly grateful to have you all on this journey with me and I can't wait for everything to come in 2021.
